THIS WEEK IS RED RIBBON WEEK!
Sage Canyon will be celebrating "Healthy Lifestyles"
On Tuesday, October 23rd, please have your child wear
RED to school.
There will be a BMX bike assembly for the kids to enjoy in the morning
and red apples at all the lunch tables. Also, all students will receive
a
Red Ribbon bracelet and a Jimbo's coupon in their Wednesday folders!
We encourage you to pick a day to have a special "Family Dinner"
and discuss healthy lifestyle topics.

PTA REFLECTIONS
It's Time To Submit Your 2012-2013 Reflections Entry!
Celebrate your child's artistic talents by having them
submit an entry (or multiple entries) in the National PTA Reflections Program.
This year's theme is "The Magic of a Moment" and students
can submit in any of six categories. (Photography, Visual Arts, Literature,
Dance Choreography, Musical Composition, and Film/Video Production)
Please turn in your entry to the PTA Art Portfolio
in the main office by Monday, October 29th!
The portfolio will be in the office starting Tuesday, October 23rd.

5K & KIDS FUN RUN
Saturday, December 8th, 2012.
There is an inter-school contest going on as well:
The DMUSD Elementary school with the highest percentage of race
participants signed up (including friends & family) will take home the trophy!
Proceeds from the race will go towards the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF). The Foundation supports the science, music, art, technology,
and P.E. programs for all eight DMUSD schools.
