GASB 50 Footnote Disclosure Statements now available

Your employer's GASB 50 Footnote Disclosure Statement is now available in the Employer Document Archive. The Employer Document Archive may be accessed through IMRF Employer Access.

Your GASB 50 Footnote Disclosure Statement indicates the funded status of your employer's IMRF plan(s) as of December 31, 2014. The document also includes three-year trend data indicating if your employer's pension assets are adjusting in relation to your employer's pension liabilities. Auditors will need this information for review.

Registration open for Employer Rate Meetings

Registration is still available for IMRF's series of Employer Rate Meetings. The meetings, held throughout the state, will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers.

Chief financial officers, other officials, governing body members, and interested parties from your employer are invited to attend the Rate Meeting scheduled in your area (view the full schedule). Advance registration is requested and employers are able to register online through IMRF Employer Access. If you do not have an Employer Access account, return a completed registration form to IMRF by fax or email (please allow additional processing time to receive registration confirmation and directions).

Introduction of Employer 800 number continues

IMRF continues the launch of an exclusive, employer-only 800 number: 800-728-7971.The number, 800-728-7971, was introduced to provide employers more immediate access to an IMRF Member Services Representative who specializes in employer customer service.

During the gradual transition to the new number, employers will continue to observe references to IMRF's general 800 number, 1-800-ASK-IMRF (275-4673), but are encouraged to use the new, employer-only number when contacting IMRF's Member Services Department: 800-728-7971.

Please do not share this 800 number with members; this new number was established for employer use only. Please refer members to contact IMRF at 1-800-ASK-IMRF (275-4673).

IMRF receives 2014 ILPEx Silver Award

Illinois Performance Excellence (ILPEx) awarded IMRF the 2014 Silver Award for "Progress toward Excellence" on March 26, 2015. At the 20th annual award recognition ceremony, held in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, IMRF was recognized "for demonstrating sound and notable continuous improvement."

The ILPEx Silver Award honored IMRF for its commitment to outstanding customer service and continuous improvement. IMRF has adopted the Baldrige Criteria as its framework for organizational improvement, and is now the recipient of three ILPEx Awards.

Online registration offered for May 5 webinar

Online registration is available for IMRF's 2015 Employer Rate Meeting webinar. This is the first in a series of three webinars scheduled for 2015.

The 2015 Employer Rate Meeting webinar, held May 5, 2015, at 1:30 PM, will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

IMRF website now available in Spanish

As part of its improved, user-friendly design, portions of IMRF's website, www.imrf.org, are now presented in Spanish.

Site visitors can click the "Espa�ol" link at the top of the home page to convert certain portions of the site to Spanish. This includes headers, some instructions, and key benefits-related information. Additionally, Spanish-language editions of the Regular Plan Tier 1 Booklet and the Regular Plan Tier 2 Booklet are available on the site for immediate download.
