IMRF and IGFOA partner on GASB 68 webinar for employers

IMRF and the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA) are offering a webinar on Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement No. 68.

The webinar will be held on August 15 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. It is open to all IMRF employers and their professional staff involved in the preparation of annual financial reports. Auditors and actuaries providing services to IMRF employers may also participate. Participants are eligible to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit.

IMRF launches GASB 68 webpage for employers

Today IMRF launched a new webpage providing GASB 68 implementation resources for employers.

The new webpage, accessible from the "Employer" section of the IMRF website, features a number of resources:

An overview of requirements from GASB
An implementation toolkit from GASB
Preliminary information about reporting requirements from IMRF
Details on how to calculate Total Pension Liability from IMRF

Be sure to visit the new webpage regularly for updates.
