On May 2, 2013, IMRF conducted a Rate Meeting webinar for employers. Topics covered included:

  • What IMRF's 2012 investment return means to employers' funded status, reserves, and contribution rates
  • The potential impact of year-to-date 2013 and future year returns
  • Proposed pension-related legislation
  • Other forces impacting IMRF

Attend an employer training workshop and make your job easier! 

These streamlined one-day training sessions are designed for anyone who handles IMRF at your employer--not only Authorized Agents. Any staff members who assist you with day-to-day IMRF issues and processes are encouraged to attend. IMRF employer training workshops offer opportunities to learn more about IMRF procedures, changes to the Illinois Pension Code, and other topics that impact member benefits.

If it's been a few years since you've attended a workshop, you might think about attending to another. You'll learn about newly enhanced or changed processes that can help you do your job more quickly and accurately.

2013 GASB 68 CAFR Employer Questionnaire  

IMRF is working with our actuaries to determine how we will calculate the information employers will need to meet GASB 68 requirements.

If you haven't already, we ask that you respond to three brief questions about your employer's annual financial statement and their auditors.

This survey should be completed by the individual responsible for preparing your annual financial statement, e.g., your chief financial officer.
Board Meeting Highlights

At the April 2013 Board meeting, the Board:
  • Learned that 2014 Regular Plan rates will, on average, decrease
  • Approved 2014 ECO rates
  • Discussed the legislator meetings during the Springfield Drive-Down
  • Heard an update on Strategic Objectives
