WIC Wellness Day 2014
Staff, volunteers, and families took part in WIC Wellness Day during the statewide Eat Healthy Rhode Island event in March. Parents and children met at Tri-Town's main office on Hartford and participated in a variety of fun activities and events designed to encourage healthy eating and to increase their ability to make nutritious meal choices. Volunteer students read the book Is Your Hair Made of Donuts; families played interactive games such as Fruits and Veggie Bingo; and a Think Your Drink demonstration provided kids and parents with a look at how much sugar is inside some of their common drink choices. Prizes and books were received by all families, making the day a fun time for all!
