Dr. Richmond Ramirez appointed

From the desk of Joseph R. DeSantis, CEO

Dr. Richmond Ramirez
I am pleased to announce Dr. Richmond Ramirez has been appointed as the Medical Director of the Tri-Town Community Acton Agency Health Center. Dr. Richmond has been a very active, motivated and committed Family Practice Doctor at Tri-Town for the past two years. He is a graduate of the Penn State /Good Samaritan Hospital Residency Program and the Milion S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Ramirez is highly committed to Community and Public Health and is actively involved in many internal, external and statewide committees. His education, skills and knowledge bring our patients and the communities we serve with increased quality; oversight; accountability and patient care and coordination. This is critically important during this time as transformational change in our health care systems is imminent. We welcome Richmond to our team and know he will be a tremendous asset to the health care changes taking place locally, statewide and nationally.

Dr. Amato Polselli
Dr. Ramirez has provided Community-Based, University Affiliated Family Medicine to patients throughout his Residency Program and during his exceptional work and years at Tri-Town. He covers the full spectrum of Family Medicine patients which includes, but is not limited to, OB/GYN; Pediatrics; Outpatient Procedures; Sports Medicine; and Geriatrics. Dr. Ramirez is tri-lingual in English; Medical Spanish and Tagalog. He is highly skilled and proficient in Health Information Technology and Medical Informatics.  We are proud to welcome him to our Health Center Team and look forward to the new changes ahead under the Affordable Care Act; Health Care Transformation and the expansion of our Health Center in the North Providence Community Center.

We would also like to applaud Dr. Amato Polselli for his years of hard work and excellence in serving as our Medical Director and Pediatrician. Although Dr. Polselli willingly relinquished his role as Medical Director in order to provide increased clinical services to our pediatric patients, he will remain with Tri-Town as a full-time Pediatrician and also as a mentor to Dr. Ramirez.  We truly appreciate Dr. Polselli's dedication and passion to the Tri-Town Health Center and to his patients.

Sincerely,

Joseph R. DeSantis
