FREE Weatherization services are available to homeowners or renters in these communities. Please call to find out if your property qualifies. This program is available to you if you meet income guidelines noted below.

Renters must have property owner's written permission for us to weatherize the property. This fantastic program enables people to reduce their energy usage and costs by creating a more energy efficient home.

Following our Energy Audit, we will assign Licensed and Insured Local Contractors to perform work. This may include insulating attics, walls and basements, sealing drafty windows, weather-stripping doors and bulkheads. We may also evaluate your heating system and chimney, test the refrigerator and freezer, and exchange your light bulbs with energy efficient CFL bulbs. All at no cost to you!

This program was established in 1976 when the State contracted with the local Community Action Agencies to conduct energy audits and coordinate weatherization services. Since then, thousands of local homeowners and renters have taken advantage of this opportunity that has not only saved them money but has also reduced each home's carbon footprint.
