After a little more than a year of construction, Northeastern Illinois University opened its first residence hall, The Nest, which is a six-story, 440-bed building on its Main Campus. So far, the Nest residents represent 11 states and 10 countries with the majority of students being first-year students from a variety of Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs. On September 16 and 17, you are welcome to join students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends for NEIU Weekend 2016. The weekend kicks off with Fall Fest on Friday, September 16, from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Main Campus. The event is open to the public and will feature live performances, outdoor games, vendors, food and a beer garden. (Entrance to Fall Fest is free; food and beer will be available for purchase.)
