Arbor Day Foundation honors NEIU for tree-friendly campus
Last month Northeastern received the 2015 Tree Campus USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation for establishing and sustaining healthy community forests. The University's commitment to trees on its campus helps significantly reduce the amount of energy it needs to generate and also cuts down on carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Free counseling services available to NEIU neighbors

For the 17th year, Northeastern's Department of Counselor Education is once again providing free couples and family counseling. Counseling services take place on a limited first-come, first-serve basis and is provided by students currently enrolled in the M.A. in Family Counseling program who are taking an advanced clinical course under the direct supervision of our Counselor Education Family program faculty. Families and children are seen in our Wellness Center, located at the Main Campus, on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during the spring 2016 semester. If you know of families who are having difficulties with their children, or couples looking for counseling, premarital counseling, or a couple wellness check up, please have them contact Evelyn Zatkoff, e-zatkoff@neiu.edu, for an appointment. All counseling services are strictly confidential and free.
