Center for Diversity expanded to house Women's, LGBTQA resource centers
Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs reopens after summer construction
Yesterday, dozens from the University and community attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the reopening of the Pedroso Center, which has been physically expanded to provide additional programming space and offices. The Pedroso Center was first opened in 2011 and is comprised of five resource centers, which include the African & African American Resource CenterAsian & Global Resource CenterLatino/a Resource CenterLGBTQA Resource Center, and Women's Resource Center.
President's Report provides a look back at an eventful year

Northeastern to participate in World AIDS Day today
Northeastern's Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs welcomes our neighbors to join us today in participating in World AIDS Day 2015. To commemorate this day the Pedroso Center will host a series of events in B-159, where we will recognize the ongoing commitment to HIV education and awareness. Please find the full schedule on our webpage.  
  • HIV in the Latino/a Community
    9:25 a.m. - 10:40 a.m.
    Roman Buenrostro from the AIDS Foundation of Chicago will speak about HIV in the Latino/a Community.
     
  • Free HIV Testing
    10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    Know your status! Take a moment out of your day to come get a free rapid HIV test and safer sex materials.
  • You Can't Get It By Kissing
    1:40 p.m. - 2:55 p.m.
    For December's Pandora's Box: A workshop banishing myths and stigmas against HIV and AIDS.
  • Endgame: AIDS in Black America
    3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
    Endgame: AIDS in Black America is a groundbreaking two-hour documentary exploring one of the country's most urgent, preventable health crisis.
El Centro mural project completed
The underpass mural near El Centro along Kimball has been finished. Chicago artist Nick Goettling completed  the project, which was co-sponsored by Northeastern, the National Museum of Mexican Art and the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance. It uses iconic imagery to communicate a peoples' history and features two mirroring designs.
