Come join us at the NEIU Block Party
Northeastern kicks off Homecoming Weekend with free event
Neighbors and members of the community are invited to help the University celebrate Homecoming Weekend with a family-friendly event on Friday, October 2, in Parking Lot F of the Main Campus. The block party -- which will feature live performances, food and activities for children -- is free and will take place between 4 and 10 p.m. We hope you can join us.
University announces plan for Avondale art mural
Work will soon begin on a public art installation in the underpass along Kimball Avenue near Northeastern's El Centro location. Chicago artist Nick Goettling has been selected to install the mural, which is part of a project that is co-sponsored by Northeastern, the National Museum of Mexican Art and the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance.
New semester of non-credit courses open to Neighbors
Northeastern's Office of Continuing and Professional Education's (CAPE) offers non-credit seminars and workshops to members of the public during late afternoons, evenings and weekends on the University's Main Campus and El Centro locations. Some of this fall's offerings include:

Thank you for helping us clean up the beach
Together we collected more than 36 pounds of garbage from Montrose Beach late last month during our beach clean-up and Fun in the Sun event. Our sincere appreciation goes out to those who joined us in making our community a better place to live, learn and play.
