Northeastern Neighbors
COMMUNITY FORUM ON APRIL 30
Please join us
Northeastern Illinois University will host a Community Forum on Thursday, April 30, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall. The forum will include a brief presentation on current NEIU projects, answers to pre-submitted questions and time for public comment. Free parking will be available on the 5th floor of the NEIU Parking Facility.

NEIU has agreed to have Hollywood-North Park Community Association (HNPCA) receive and manage pre-submitted questions, as well as requests to participate in the public comment portion of the evening, to ensure all opinions are included.

Please submit either your questions or request to speak during public comments to HNPCA at hnpca@sbcglobal.net by April 21. In order to accommodate as many public commenters as possible, comments from registered speakers will be limited to two minutes.

Golden Eagle 5K Run

NEIU Campus Recreation will host its 8th Annual Golden Eagle 5K on Sunday, April 26. You can register online for the event, which will take place between 9 and 10 a.m, or you can register at the front desk of the PE Complex. There are a limited number of entries available. Registration for neighbors is $20 until April 15, and $25 afterward.

The 5K race does not leave campus, and it will not impact any city streets. Click here for more information.

NEIU answers questions about housing, civic engagement
The University provided information about its current projects to HNPCA, which recently compiled a list of questions from the community. The topics covered the plans to build new residence halls as well as Northeastern's participation in the community. You can find the Q&A document in the archives section of the Northeastern Neighbors website.
Northeastern needs your input
Our neighborhood spans a large geography that encompasses businesses, institutions and residents who represent a very diverse array of viewpoints. It is important to us that we understand the issues and concerns -- about our events, programming, projects, etc. -- that can help strengthen our relationship as neighbors. We invite you to share your thoughts with us online.
