This summer, ChathamSTEM partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Newark to share with underserved students Robotics and Computer programing camps. These classes were taught mostly by Chatham High Schoolers from ChathamSTEM's TeachItForward program, the Robotics team or the Girls Who Code Club. As a result, 20 students from inner city Newark discovered new passions and interests ranging fromLego Robotics to Scratch programming, and some of them are continuing on their own, with their local schools or their local club.
Patrick, Evan, Amira, Katherine, Parth and the many other Chatham High Schoolers who taught this summer: you have made a difference in a few kids lives. Thank you.
