Robotics, Programing, Science, Engineering. Learn to teach and make a difference in our community

Last year, ChathamSTEM 

initiated the Teach it Forward program, training 8th graders to be able to help K-3 kids during after school STEM activities. Most 8th graders were staffed to help their K-3 school (WAS, SBS, MAS) thorough the PTO after school enrichment by helping the teachers running the program teach Lego WeDo Robotics.

 

This year we are expanding the program to include new activities:

- Lego WeDo Robotics

- Scratch Jr and Scratch

- Crazy 8 Math Club

- LittleBits Electronics

- Engineering Adventures


 

All these programs are directed toward K-3 students and will be taught by Elementary School teachers assisted by your child.
 

For each one of these programs, we will be offering a training session ruing the week of August 25-29. Once you are trained, you will be able to be assigned to the PTO after school enrichment program, ChathamSTEM academic enrichment program, Library programs,...Some programs do offer a monetary compensation and some do offer opportunity for volunteer hours...but all of them need you to be trained.
