ABS ICD-10 Readiness Update:

 

ABS is currently in the process of implementing the ICD-10 platform.  There are 2 phases to our ICD-10 implementation:

 

Phase 1: The ABS claims processing system was upgraded to the ICD-10 platform in late 2014.  The upgrade expanded necessary data fields and provided the capability to process claims in accordance with ICD-10 federally-mandated requirements.  It was then fully tested and moved to production.

 

Phase 2:  Begins second quarter 2015 and will include staff training and testing with ABS EDI trading partners and vendors. ABS will be compliant with ICD-10 by October 1, 2015.
