Remaining SAT/ACT Test Dates and New PSAT Class
There are only a couple SAT/ACT test dates left this school year! These tests are not available in the summer. After the June test dates, SAT tests will not be offered again until October and ACT tests will not be offered again until September. Most students do take these tests more than once. More and more colleges are starting to allow "Super Scoring" for the SAT where they take the best scores from each time a student takes the test. Currently Arizona in-state colleges do not super score. Summer is a good time to start to prepare for these tests if you plan on taking/retaking in the Fall.

SUSD's Online Learning Program earns AdvancED accreditation
Scottsdale Unified School District's Scottsdale Online Learning program in April received its accreditation through AdvancED, a nonprofit school-accrediting agency.AdvancED reported that SOL outperformed its peers nationally in all three domains rated: Teaching and Learning Impact, Leadership Capacity and Resource Utilization, and that six areas were rated as "powerful practices" that set the standard for other institutions to follow. One of these areas was stakeholder and institution support.
The AdvancED accreditation process takes about one year of data collection and review. The accreditation lasts for five years before a required renewal process is necessary. All SUSD high schools are currently accredited through AdvancED. SOL, which has been offered at SUSD for three years, is also a NCAA-accredited program, which allows participating students the eligibility necessary to play at the NCAA college level after exiting high school.
