**Friday, February 27, 2015 - Updated Deadline for Joaquin Bustoz ASU Summer Math/ Science Honors Programs
Please be advised that the Deadline for materials for the Joaquin Bustoz ASU Math/Science Honors Program for this summer 2015 (8 weeks) on the ASU campus for college credit has been updated to Friday, February 27, 2015.  This is earlier than previously reported.  It is a great (intense) program for advanced math high school students.  https://jbmshp.asu.edu/

Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program

Nominate a young volunteer for up to $10,000 in scholarships.  Go to Kohlskids.com and nominate a young volunteer, ages 6 to 18, who has made a difference in your community.  Top winners each receive $10,000 for higher education.  

 

Interested in Political Science

If you are interested in possibly majoring in Political Science in college and want to see how civic government really works then consider applying to the Scottsdale Mayor's Youth Council.  Applications are now available at http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/education/SMYC

 

Register in Advance for the SAT and/or ACT

Don't forget to register in advance for the ACT and SAT.  For the April 18 ACT the registration due date is March 13.  There is a late registration period of 3/14 through 3/27 but there is an additional fee of $24.  For the June 13 test date the registration due date is May 8.  The late registration period is May 9 through May 22 and also carries an additional fee of $24 during this late registration period.  The late fees are in addition to the regular fee of ACT (No writing) of $38 and ACT (Plus writing) of $54.50.  So a total for a late registration for an ACT (Plus Writing) would be $78.50.  Register at www.act.org  

 

For SAT on March 14 the registration deadline is 2/13 (Registration fee $52.50)  Late registration phone and online is 3/3 and there is an additional $28 fee for late registration.   So if you register late there will be the regular registration fee of $52.50 plus the $28 late fee for a total of $80.50.  For the May 2 SAT  test, the regular registration date is 4/6 and the late registration is 4/21. Register at www.collegeboard.org.

 

To ensure that you get your location of choice it is highly recommended that you register as soon as you know your test date.

Girls who are in the 10th or 11th grade at a high school in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada.

Apply below by Sunday, March 8 at 11:59 PM EST. Fellowships will be announced in April. The 2015 Leadership Forum will take place June 14-17, 2015.

Quarter Grades - SUSD

Third quarter grades end March 6.  Only about three weeks away. 

 

Don't forget SEC WILL BE OPEN OVER SPRING BREAK: March 9 through March 12.  If you will not be attending your regularly scheduled session please call and let us know with at least 24 hours notice (48 hours for privates) and we can reschedule a makeup, otherwise you will be billed for a missed session.
