SCHA Changes
The "Be Fit" program will stay the same requiring 8 visits per month. As of 11/1/13, South Country Health Alliance added an additional program for dual-eligible Medicare members only called "Be Active". Members who qualify for "Be Active" will receive up to $20 a month for working out with no minimum days of participation required. An updated enrollment form will be coming soon, but SCHA will do the leg-work to determine which program a member is eligible for, and the process for clubs will not change. SCHA is asking that members continue to record club attendance regardless of which program they fall under [Be Fit/Be Active].

VIDEO of the MONTH:
Plate Proportions
Figuring out how to eat well can sometimes be confusing - especially with the holidays upon us. Isn't ice cream a carbohydrate? Denny's calls a hamburger without the bun a diet plate. Brussels sprouts... are you kidding??!! Ponder your plate proportions...

Welcome to the Humana
Prescription Savings Card Program
Tis the season! NIHCA is able to offer you a great prescription savings card from Humana that you can pass on to you members -- as a gift from you to your members -- any member! Humana and NIHCA welcome you to the Humana Prescription Savings Card Program! We know that your gym members and their families will find immediate value in the savings that they will receive from the Program.
Here is how it works...
This program provides a significant discount on medications that may not be covered by a gym member's health plan. For those gym members who have great coverage or limited coverage or who are uninsured, they will now get access to an extensive network of pharmacies that could provide a substantial discount on prescription medications.
To make the program simple to use, Humana will provide your club members access to a dedicated website for the Humana Prescription Savings Card Program.

The website:
www.HumanaDiscountRx.com
is available to all cardholders and their families. NIHCA suggests that each facility enter in their club name so that each card that is printed out has YOUR facility name on it. Print as many cards as you'd like so that you can hand them out to your members. That way each of your members will realize this is a gift from you, the facility.
Your gym is able to provide this NO COST prescription savings card to all your members! Any member can receive this card, insured or not insured. No need to be a Humana member to participate - anyone can utilize this savings card!
