Greetings!
A big thanks to Paul Morinville of U.S. Inventor for speaking at SDIF in April and telling us about the defeat of H.R. 9, a bill that would have been very detrimental to independent inventors. Thanks also to Randy Landreneau for his efforts to stop this bill--and to all of you who wrote your representatives to express your opposition. We won!
This month we turn our attention to trade shows--why go, how to choose the right ones, how to prepare, creating your display, making a game plan, and secrets for success on the show floor. Our presenter will be Judith Balian, a trade show veteran with over 20 years experience in exhibiting a major shows and conferences. An inventor herself, Judith has assisted many SDIF members as they prepared to show off their inventions to the world.
And you won't want to miss our Inventor of the Month, Ken Stanwood of Wi-LAN who has over 100 patents to his credit and has licensed his technology all over the world.

SDIF is seeking someone to create additional emails as needed. In addition to our regular monthly newsletters, we often have special announcements and need help getting those posted. You will be added as a Contributor and mentioned at meetings' end when we thank everyone who helps.
Requirements:
Writing ability
An eye for design (fonts, sizing, etc.)
Knowledge of Constant Contact would be a plus (but we have the template)
A little knowledge of HTML would be helpful
Training provided.
