Those of you who come regularly know that SDIF meetings are a great place to get solid information on all aspects of inventing as well as make great contacts. We have no costly dues or membership requirements. All that's needed is a desire to learn about the world of inventing and network with like-minded people. Whether you're an inventor or a service provider to inventors, SDIF is the right place to be!

George Levy
Inventor's Mentor:  Walls around Walls, Castles and Claims.

Lack of enablement is often the weakest aspect of a patent application and this weakness usually reveals itself during the examination process. Often the examiner finds prior art that eliminates the patentability of the best mode, i.e., your preferred version of your invention.

It is therefore important to include as many other modes and variations of the invention as possible as fallback options. Claims should be written with a defensive purpose, like a castle with wall around walls. Find out more in the June issue of the "The Inventor's Mentor"  by George Levy.
