NISD Earns National Awards for Communication
The Northwest ISD communications department has received two awards from the National School Public Relations Association's Publications and Electronic Media Contest. The team received an Honorable Mention for the I Love NISD Social Media Campaign and an Honorable Mention for the On the Grow video production. Last year, NISD implemented a communication plan to unite families, the district's 14 communities, and staff to share 'why they love NISD.' Through the social media campaign, the department was able to raise awareness about Northwest ISD and share what makes NISD unique and innovative. The On the Grow video series is developed to showcase Northwest ISD's fast growth, as well as share information about bond campaigns and construction updates.

NISD's communication efforts were recognized from more than 960 entries across the nation. Members from the Northwest ISD communications team include: Jerhea Nail, Cindy Metting, Emily Conklin, Jerry Cantu, Phil Beckman, Rachel Bobbitt, Melissa Shawn, and Karen Wiechman.
