370 Participate in Northwest Reads
Northwest ISD and Partners in Education extend their appreciation to the 370 volunteers who participated in the eighth annual Northwest Reads on April 29. Enrollment Online for 2016-2017 School Year
Northwest ISD apologizes for the inconvenience regarding Enrollment Online.  New Student Enrollment Online is available now by going to www.nisdtx.org/enrollment.  The district's vendor is diligently working on Enrollment Online for returning students.  Updates will be provided as soon as enrollment is opened for returning students.  Thank you for your patience. 


NHS Senior Receives National Bid
Northwest High School senior Austin Hille will advance to the National Speech and Debate Association Tournament in Salt Lake City this June after winning first place in dramatic interpretation at the National Qualifier in Plano earlier this month.  The National Speech and Debate Association is the oldest and largest high school speech and debate honor society in the world and was established in 1925.  Hille is pictured with teacher Amberley Ferrell.

Steele Senior Advances in Skills USA 
Steele Accelerated High School senior Maria Galvan received first place in Esthetics and will travel to the Skills USA National contest this June. The esthetics competition evaluates the contestants' techniques and professionalism in the field of skin care. The SkillsUSA contest teaches the importance of developing leadership skills, positive attitudes and pride in workmanship, while associating schoolwork with real work.
Campuses Named to US News Best Schools
Byron Nelson High School and James M. Steele Accelerated High School have been named to the U.S. News & World Report 2016 Best High Schools ranking. This is a detailed analysis of more than 21,500 U.S. public high schools. Nearly 30% of the schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze. Byron Nelson High School has been ranked silver and Steele Accelerated High School has been ranked bronze.
18 Seniors Sign NCAA Letter of Intent
On April 28, 18 seniors at Northwest High School and Byron Nelson High School committed to play sports at the collegiate level.  This school year, a total of 55 seniors have signed an NCAA Letter of Intent.  See who signed where here.
