NHSTV Named Best Live Show
Northwest High School TV (NHSTV) station has been named the Best Daily Live Show in the Southwest Region by the Student Television Network.  The region includes high schools from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas.  NHSTV broadcasts a daily live show at Northwest High School, which is produced by students in NISD's Academy of Media Arts and Technology (AMAT).  The national winner will be announced at the Student Television Network Convention in Atlanta in March.  To view NHSTV broadcasts on demand, click here.

NISD Announces High School Showcase
Learn more about high school courses and activities at NISD's first High School Showcase on Monday, February 22.  The event will take place at each of the high school campuses in Northwest ISD (Byron Nelson High School, V.R. Eaton High School, Northwest High School and James M. Steele Accelerated High School).  This come-and-go event will provide information about advanced academics, career and technology pathways, academies, fine arts, high school courses, and more.  Come learn what your school has to offer by attending the following sessions:
 
6-7:30 p.m. - Showcase (for all current and incoming high school students)
6-6:30 - All Incoming Freshman Parent Meeting
7-7:30 p.m. - All Incoming Freshman Parent Meeting (repeat session)




Vote for Outdoor Learning Center!
Vote for Northwest ISD's Amy Hollenshead, outdoor learning center coordinator, and help her win $10,000 for the OLC.  Hollenshead has submitted an idea to create an outdoor nature play area at Title 1 elementary schools to encourage students to learn using their environments.
