In the coming months, the Northwest ISD community might notice several 'for sale' signs throughout the district's 234-square miles. At the January 29 school board meeting, the NISD Board of Trustees approved a resolution to declare land surplus in preparation to sell or exchange property. The district has identified nine parcels of property that will not be needed for school use in the future. As part of the process of disposal, the state requires the school board to approve a resolution declaring the sites surplus. Some of the areas where property will be sold are near Seven Hills and Clara Love Elementary School, as well as Marshall Creek.
