WINNER: Best of Show K-12, 2015 National Media Market!

"ON BEAUTY is, quite simply, a masterful example of how cinema can serve as a humanizing force in the world.
We need films like this."

"My students absolutely loved the film. They were still talking about it several days later."
Teacher, Big Sky Doc Film Festival

ON BEAUTY is the winner of the Best of Show (K-12) Award at this year's National Media Market! NMM attendees agree that ON BEAUTY is the premiere film to address issues of health, body image, bullying and disabilities. Watch an exclusive clip from the film!

From Emmy®-nominated filmmaker Joanna Rudnick and Chicago's Kartemquin Films comes a story about challenging norms and redefining beauty. ON BEAUTY follows fashion photographer Rick Guidotti, who left the fashion world when he grew frustrated with having to work within the restrictive parameters of the industry's standard of beauty. After a chance encounter with a young woman who had the genetic condition albinism, Rick re-focused his lens on those too often relegated to the shadows to change the way we see and experience beauty.

The ON BEAUTY team has created an educational guide that includes an accredited lesson plan designed to help young people rethink how we see and treat beauty in ourselves and others.
