 WMM ANNOUNCES USA FALL TOUR
SEE SUNDANCE WINNER DREAMCATCHER ACROSS THE COUNTRY
"There are certain documentaries that thrive on a real-world version of movie-star magnetism...DREAMCATCHER has found itself
something of a supernova." -Variety

New York, NY (September 2015) - Kim Longinotto's DREAMCATCHER, winner of the Best Directing Award for Documentary at this year's Sundance Film Festival and one of Indiewire's 20 Best Documentaries of 2015, embarks on its USA tour this fall.

In partnership with The British Council, and with generous support from The Fledgling Fund, we will be hosting public screenings of DREAMCATCHER in cities across the U.S. We invite audiences to join Brenda Myers-Powell from the Dreamcatcher Foundation, and producer Lisa Stevens, for post-screening discussions with local advocates to promote a national dialogue around sex trafficking in the context of their communities.

The tour kicks off with its Chicago premiere on September 11th for a week-long run at the Gene Siskel Film Center, followed by screenings in Tucson, AZ; Milwaukee, WI; Portland, OR; Cambridge, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Seattle, WA; and Columbus, OH. Click here for event details.

DREAMCATCHER is a vibrant portrait of activist, and former teenage prostitute, Brenda Myers-Powell as she bravely advocates for change on the streets of Chicago, offering a way out of exploitation to prostitutes, and young rape victims. DREAMCATCHER lays bare the hidden violence that devastates the lives of these young women, their families, and communities, as well as Brenda's unflinching intervention that turns these desperate lives around. Called "intensely moving" by Variety and "powerful, honest, and empowering" by The GuardianDREAMCATCHER has already received critical acclaim worldwide, having screened in over 30 film festivals.  Watch the trailer.
