Film festivals are an essential step to reaching your film's audience as well as catching the eye of distributors. WMM Executive Director Debra Zimmerman will present ways to use the film festival circuit to launch your film, including tips on strategy, packaging your film and how to navigate the scene once you're there.

As film funding becomes increasingly scarce, how will you make your proposal and film stand out in the crowd? Tracie Holder, fundraiser and consultant to WMM's Production Assistance Program, will discuss topics such as writing an effective synopsis, approaching the best funders and avoiding common mistakes, as well as sharing her successes in being awarded grants from the Ford Foundation, ITVS, National Endowment for the Arts, NYSCA and more.
