Instead of using polymer film, a new solution enables production of dust-tight packaging for dry products such as sugar, grains, or flour using sustainable mono-material paper, which contains no additional polymer fractions. Paper packaging is produced on the first VFFS machine with the so-called ZAP-Module, which allows coating with the sealing agent on a minimal surface area.

FEATURED INSTALLATIONLongtime flexographic shop Triangle Label, West Chester, OH, has achieved major production savings in the first year since it invested in a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press. "The L350 has exceeded our expectations," said Operations Manager Scott Kneer (left with Plant Manager Tom Hagedorn and Director of Sales Jaime Balent). "We thought initially that 15,000 feet would be our sweet spot. With the Screen, we have run over 100,000 feet and 3.6 million labels on one order. We are able to run much more material now." Adds Hagedorn, "Uptime versus downtime is a major plus with the L350 compared to flexo. The set up time has gone from two to four hours down to 10 minutes for both set up and clean up."
