German converter Clever has installed a 420-mm ten-color Nilpeter FA-4* flexo press to make fast changeovers between label jobs. For CEO Jens Ellrich (above left with Nilpeter's Bernd Fiebig), an important criterion when producing labels for the health care sector is the reproduction of fine tonal gradations. Clever's printing tests on the FA-4* confirm outstanding reproduction of halftones. The press features the CLEANINKING system, fast tool change, and sleeve technology. It is equipped with a screen cassette for printing opaque white and special effects, and with cold foil stamping and lamination for value-added printing. The ACS system provides wireless press operation.
