Bangkok, Thailand-based Imcopack Corp. installed non-stop roll changers from Martin Automatic on a new Nilpeter press. The MBSF automatic splicer and LRD automatic transfer rewinder enable the press to run a variety of label and flexible packaging jobs without stopping. According to Thanapat Phanratanamongkol, assistant director of Imcopack, "The Martin equipment has enabled us to reduce our waste from an average of 4% to 5% down to 1.5% to 2.5%. Automatic splicing also eliminates 3 to 5 minutes of downtime at each roll change, allowing us to run these presses at a faster average speed and nearly doubling the number of SKUs we can finish per day."
