WIGTON, CUMBRIA, UK | Innovia Films' NatureFlex is helping an Italian coffee company with its launch of a new organic brand. Based in Modena, Caffè Molinari SpA introduced a Bio range in espresso and decaffeinated varieties, which uses fully certified compostable packaging.
The coffee pack is constructed using two-layers, comprising a white metallized high barrier NatureFlex outer layer laminated to a bio-polymer sealant inner layer, providing high seal strength and integrity.

Fort Lauderdale, FL-based 21st Century Labels & Packaging historically has used conventional printing equipment for orders ranging from 1,000 to 10 million labels. In 2014, the converter installed the HP Indigo WS6600 digital press to address demand for shorter run lengths. In less than one year, digital printing has grown from zero to more than 20% of the company's revenue. "We pride ourselves on new product development and innovation and are continually offering our customers new solutions to provide them greater value," said Michael Stephens, president. "Digital printing will enable us to better address market trends and customer demand for shorter run lengths, faster turnaround times, and personalization, and the HP Indigo WS6600 Digital Press is our latest investment to offer customers exceptional performance and quality for high-value labels and packaging applications." Now the company plans to upgrade the press with a Value Pack to add all the functionality of a WS6800 digital press.
