Actors. Extras. The director himself. The person whose story helped inspire the film that was about to appear on the big screen. The vivid glitz and glamor of Hollywood had embraced Hopewell's historical Beacon Theatre. It was here that local citizens, city officials and several of the cast and crew viewed an exclusive screening of the crime drama "Imperium", starring "Harry Potter" film series actor Daniel Radcliffe.

Niagara Bottling's plan to establish a $95 million manufacturing operation at Meadowville Technology Park might prove to be a major coup for Chesterfield County that not only will increase local tax revenue but will make the company the county's second-largest water customer after tobacco manufacturer Altria Client Services.

Department of Utilities Director George B. Hayes said Monday that the bottled beverage supplier is projected to use 0.9 million gallons for its daily operations and 0.18 million gallons for sewer, resulting in an annual utility bill of just under $1 million and a more efficient use of the supply system.
