PRINCE GEORGE - Broadband service will be improving in the county with the coming of two 199-foot communication towers.

At their April 14 meeting, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a special request by Verizon to construct a monopole at 14300 Fairwood Road and at the southwest quadrant of Hines Road and Pole Run Road.

"The construction and operation of the proposed tower would provide additional data and voice services for the surrounding county residents in this particular area," said Douglas Miles, county planning manager.
