Dominion to Add Solar Panels at Capital One in Chesterfield County

Increasing its investment in solar energy, Dominion Resources Inc. announced more sun-power projects in Virginia and California on Monday.

 

The company's Dominion Virginia Power subsidiary will install 2,500 solar panels at Capital One's facility in Chesterfield County. The project will generate up to 500 kilowatts of electricity when operational, enough to power about 125 homes.

Report Says Hospitals, Health Systems have $34.4 Billion Impact

The hospital and health systems contributed $34.8 billion to the commonwealth's economy in 2012, according to an industry trade group.

 

An annual report by the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association said the industry supported 913,636 jobs.

 

The health-care industry directly employed 444,298 people, while hospitals alone employed 123,508 in the commonwealth.
