In celebration of National Small Business Week, I want to personally congratulate and recognize the small business owners in the region and country. While big business helps the nation and economy thrive, entrepreneurs and small business owners play a critical role in contributing to the success and fortitude of the economy as well as driving innovation.

With over half of Americans owning or working for a small business, creating two out of every three new jobs each year, it is important we honor the progress and success of the individuals that keep our communities prosperous. Small business owners not only offer local opportunities, but they keep America globally competitive in an age of change.
