CSED tours with White House Fellows

CSED hosted a community tour with White House Fellows Nov. 19. 
Lower 9th Ward Farmer's Market this weekend

The Lower 9th Ward Farmer's Market will be open tomorrow, Dec. 5 and every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. There will be a variety of seasonal vegetables, raw honey from right here in the Lower 9, and food dishes available for purchase. The market will be held at the Lower 9th Ward Village, 1205 Charbonnet Street, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Tree and produce sale to benefit Our School and Blair Grocery

Our School at Blair Grocery will host a pop-up tree + produce sale tomorrow, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 1804 Benton Street. Purchase trees at clearance prices and produce grown on site. All sales will benefit Our School at Blair Grocery's educational programming. 
Holiday musical event

The 9th Ward Senior Citizen Center is hosting a holiday musical Thursday, Dec. 11, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at MLK's school cafetorium, 1617 Caffin Ave. Enjoy special performances by 9th Ward Senior Choir, Chermaine Neville, Phillip Manuel, Art Neville, MLK Charter School Youth Choir and more. It's free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so get there early! 
Holy Cross Neighborhood Association meeting

Grab your neighbor and come out to the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association meeting Thursday, Dec. 11, 5:30 p.m. at Greater Little Zion Church, 5130 Chartres St. 

HCNA Annual Holiday Potluck

The Holy Cross Neighborhood Association Annual Holiday Potluck will take place Friday, Dec. 12, 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the brand new NOPD 5th District station, 3900 N. Claiborne Ave. For more information, call Kim Ford at 504-248-8594.
