"Recall the Wetlands : A Living Mandala"
Common Ground Relief Wetlands LLC and the Imago Collective are staging "Recall the Wetlands : A Living Mandala", an interactive, solar powered dance performance piece staged amidst a collection of native trees and marsh grasses.
The performances will be held at Common Ground's nursery, 1515 Jourdan Ave. Friday (Nov. 21) at 5 p.m., and Saturday (Nov. 22) and Sunday (Nov. 23) at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Lower 9th Ward Market is now open
Burnell Cotlon held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the Lower 9th Ward Market last week. It's the first grocery store to open in our neighborhood since Hurricane Katrina.

Sankofa's upcoming events
Join Sankofa Community Development Corporation at the Independence Street Community Garden Build-up this Saturday, Nov. 22, 8 a.m. - noon. They will be creating a community garden at 2001 Independence St. Volunteers are asked to bring comfortable, closed shoes and gloves.
