CSED Ribbon Cutting & Reception this Sunday

Come celebrate with us this Sunday! Join official sponsor Tandus Centiva and the US Green Building Council's local & national leaders for the official ribbon cutting & reception of the Greenbuild 2014 Legacy Project at the Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development's Energy Efficiency Education Center.  The event will take place at the CSED Center, 5227 Chartres Street, Oct. 19, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

CSED Kickstarter

We're so thankful that 76 people have contributed to our CSED Kickstarter thus far. We invite you to check out our progress at this Sunday's ribbon cutting, and support our Kickstarter to help us finish The Center, a community-based resource that will support current residents of the Lower 9th Ward through energy-efficient home upgrades and educational demonstrations for the community. 2nd annual collard green cooking contest

The Backyard Gardeners Network will host its 2nd annual collard green cooking contest Saturday, Oct. 25, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Guerrilla Garden, 600 Charbonnet St. There will be two categories (traditional and vegetarian). Free legal fair this Sunday

There will be a free legal fair this Sunday, Oct. 19, noon - 3 p.m. at Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries, 4400 St. Charles Ave. Law professionals will offer free notarial services and free legal assistance in areas of law including: family law, successions, criminal law, Medicare and Medicaid issues. This event is sponsored by the New Orleans Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, in association with the New Orleans Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession Committee. Contact Kimberly Silas at 504-589-9700 for more information.
