We hope you'll drop by to meet our cancer specialists in Arlington and check out
our newest location.  Dr. Siobhan Lynch, Dr. Gus Gonzalez, and Dr. DeEtte Vasques (gynecologic cancer exclusively) will be on hand to welcome you and answer Arlington doctors your questions about cancer or cancer treatment. We're also hosting the ambassadors from Mansfield Chamber of Commerce and kicking off our opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and continental breakfast.

A gathering and sharing event for all women affected by ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, or any other gynecological cancer. Come enjoy delicious food, good wine and each other.

Look Good...Feel Better Class for Women Cancer Patients
5 pm to 6:30 pm (dinner included)
 
This free program from the American Cancer Society helps women cancer patients improve their appearance and self-image by teaching them hands on beauty techniques to manage appearance and side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Volunteer beauty professionals lead groups, 
Look good feel better girlusually about 12 to 16 women, through practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup, skin care, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each first-time participant gets a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.

Looking Lovely Head Scarf How To's Class
1:30 pm to 3:30 pm    
 
You will feel and look like the lovely and beautiful woman you are with the many uplifting scarf-tying ideas presented by cancer survivor and cosmetologist, Jolini Collins. Bring one yard of light weight fabric to this free class for anyone desiring the latest fashion in head coverings. Refreshments will be served.

Healthy Eating for Cancer Patients 
(During and After Treatment) 
10 am to 11:30 am (lunch included after class)    
 
This free program offers healthy eating tips and nutrition info for anyone in cancer treatment or anyone who has completed treatment.  The one-hour class is followed by a complimentary lunch or dinner. Stacy Shappley, RD, from the Moncrief Cancer Institute, leads the program. A special thank you to Moncrief Cancer Institute for graciously providing the lunch/dinner.

Breast cancer survivors face unique challenges, but you are not alone. If you've just been diagnosed, are in treatment, or are years into survivorship, we welcome you to our Simply the Breast breast cancer network. This is our first evening event -- we hope those who may not be able to attend the lunch events will join us. We'll have a nice dinner and plenty of time to socialize.
