Giant Colon Walk-Through Exhibit

Our giant colon stands 10 feet tall and stretches 30 feet, giving you an up close look at: - Healthy colon tissue
- Examples of Crohn's Disease and colitis
- Colorectal polyps
- Various stages of colon cancer

Look Good...Feel Better Class for Women Cancer Patients
This free program from the American Cancer Society helps women cancer patients improve their appearance and self-image by teaching them hands on beauty techniques to manage appearance and side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Volunteer beauty professionals lead groups, usually about 12 to 16 women, through practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup, skin care, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each woman gets a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.

(During and After Treatment)
This free program offers healthy eating tips and nutrition info for those in cancer treatment and those who have completed treatment (male or female). The one-hour class is followed by a complimentary lunch or dinner. Stacy Shappley, RD, from the Moncrief Cancer Institute, leads the program. A special thank you to Moncrief Cancer Center for graciously providing the lunch/dinner.
