Althouse Opens in the Fashion District
Althouse, a new high-end, multi-brand women's boutique opened in the LA Fashion District on October 13th at 716 S Main St. Owner Jennifer Althouse hopes to offer a real alternative for downtown shoppers. Althouse is a high-end boutique for women aged 25 and up. Brands sold include Grey Ant, J Brand and Rachel Comey as well as her own Alt brand, which is sold exclusively at her boutique and ecommerce site www.shopalthouse.com.
Crowded LA Market Schedule Draws Major Retailers
Apparel News is reporting a crowded market week for LA Fashion Market. The industry trade publication spoke with sales representatives at showrooms from the central showroom buildings in the district, all of whom agreed the October market was one of the best in recent history. Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon Road Closures this Sunday The Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles Halloween Half Marathon and 5k is taking place this Sunday, October 26, 2014.
