Imposters are Scamming LADWP Customers by Phone
The BID received a phone call from a merchant who reported to Central Division that an "LADWP representative" called to say they were going to shut off her water if she didn't provide a credit or debit card for payment. The officer told her it was a scam. The merchant wanted Central to distribute flyers and the officer told her to call the BID. Don't be fooled into giving your personal information to callers who say they are from the LA Department of Water & Power.
