Zoning Code Evaluation Report Released

We attended the Community Meeting on March 19 to hear more about the recently released Zoning Code Evaluation Report that outlines major concerns with the current code and lays a general framework for the new zoning code. The report is filled with recommendations for improvements to the existing regulations. To read and comment on the report, go to the MarkUp page where you can provide your feedback directly onto the document.

CCA Committee Discusses Street Vending
VendingMany Fashion District owners are concerned about the City's capacity to enforce regulations if street vending is formally legalized. The BID is concerned about the negative impact of increased trash and unfair competition with tax-paying businesses, and diminished quality of life in neighborhoods where vendors are allowed to set up anywhere. We are meeting with representative from Council District 14 and City Staff to voice our concerns before the report by the Chief Legislative Analyst is submitted to City Council.
