Robbery Attempt Prevented
On Friday, Dec 27, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. BID Safe Team Officers saw a male being chased by another male in the area of 9th and San Pedro Streets. Safe Team Officers Villegas & Lovingood made contact with the male being chased and quickly realized that this was a robbery in progress. BID Safe Team Supervisor Garcia arrived and located the male who had attempted to flee from the location. The suspect was detained and LAPD was notified. On scene, the police officers located an illegal knife in the suspect's pants pocket. The suspect was taken into custody and taken to Central Division to be booked. The victim was unharmed and retained all his property.

This is another example of the BID having ample personnel patrolling the district and preventing a major crime.
