Sanderson Farms Championship Expands Support of Children's Hospital

Greetings!

This year, the Sanderson Farms Championship will have a new home - the Country Club of Jackson, a new date - Nov. 3-9, and a renewed focus - growing the awareness of the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, Mississippi's only children's hospital.

Last year, the Sanderson Farms Championship raised $500,000 for the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children through the Friends of Children's Hospital organization, a nonprofit created in 1989 by a group of dedicated hospital supporters who had a desire to improve health care for Mississippi's children. Through the golf tournament's television coverage and promotional opportunities, people from around the county and the world will be able to learn about the ground-breaking work taking place at Blair E. Batson.

During the 2013 Sanderson Farms Championship, the company thoroughly demonstrated its support of the hospital, prominently displaying the Friends of Children's Hospital logo, having tee markers hand-painted by Batson patients and even using hand-drawn place mats for use in food service structures. The depth of which the Sanderson Farms Championship embraced Blair E. Batson last year was both outstanding and inspiring.

Going forward, Joe Sanderson Jr., CEO of Sanderson Farms, and tournament officials have made it a priority to grow support for the hospital and inform others of the great work taking place at this world-class, comprehensive medical facility for children.

Working together Mississippi's business community can play a major role in helping the Sanderson Farms Championship accomplish its goal of increasing the support for Blair E. Batson. There are numerous opportunities for you to be a part of this effort.

We look forward to seeing you at the championship Nov. 3-9 in Jackson!

Keep the faith,

Blake Wilson
