Changes In Student Assessments
California is experiencing big changes in how students are assessed with the implementation of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) System.  Starting on March 10, 2015, students in nearly 1,000 districts across California will log on to take part in the state's first Common Core-aligned assessments.  The new tests focus more on critical thinking and understanding concepts, and will be done entirely on computers -- no written exams.

This issue of Focus On provides educators with links to the latest information and resources on the new testing system.
