Changes in LCAP Plans
At its November meeting, the State Board of Education approved the final spending regulations for the LCFF and revised the LCAP template to strengthen parent and community involvement in budget decisions.  As Peter Birdsall (CCSESA Executive Director) notes, "The Board's action reflects the lessons learned from this first year experience - the new regulations and template are clearer, easier to use, and keep the focus on community engagement and services to students."

This issue of Focus On provides links to the latest news and resources to help districts in the development of their LCAP using this new template.
