Greetings and Happy Holidays!
December 2015

It is hard to believe the year is almost over and a new year is about to begin.
I always say, "Out with the old and in with the new."

Recently I have been hearing people and seeing a lot of focus on clearing out 'stuff'. What I mean about stuff is clutter and things that weigh us down. My mother recently said she needed to clear out the house. Unlike me, she wants to do it herself. I personally hire an organizer and work with her. Amazing what one can accomplish with a friend.

This month's article was submitted by Everything But The House (EBTH). We met Page Hall, a local representative of the company, and asked her to share EBTH with our readers. Last month, I personally successfully used the online auction site to buy old baseball cards for my 9 year old son. Santa is giving them to him for Christmas. He will spend a bit of time researching these oldies!

Susan, our team and I wish each of you a
Happy Holiday Season and a Prosperous New Year!

Best wishes,

Maria de la Guardia

Downsizing With Less Stress
By: Everything But The House

Every day at EBTH, we work with folks who are downsizing. Many are making big life transitions-their kids are headed off to college or they're retiring. Some are simply ready to move into a smaller place with less cost and burden to maintain. Others have loved ones managing the downsizing process on their behalf.

Here are some tips we've found to help in the downsizing process:

HOLIDAY RECIPES!

Coquito: Puerto Rican Eggnog
By: Mayra Allbritton

Coquito (koh-kee-toh) is a popular rich and creamy alcoholic coconut drink made in Puerto Rico and enjoyed during Navidad, or Christmas holiday.
Learn how to make this delicious drink and surprise your family and friends. It is also a fabulous hostess gift for your next holiday gathering. Just pour it in a pretty glass bottle and decorate it with a ribbon or some twine with a couple of cinnamon sticks.

Share a picture of your creation on our Facebook page and let us know what you think!
