"Thanks so much for all your help. Thank you for your patience, your thorough information and professional and warm presence. I know you really helped my mother feel more comfortable as she faces a new chapter in her life. Thank You! "

Greetings!
December 2014

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with the opportunity to spend time with your family and friends.  For Assisted Living Locators, November was very special for us. We had the unique opportunity to contribute to and learn so much about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and the great cause Hope for Steve. If you were one of the lucky ones who attended the event at St. Joseph's Hospital on November 4th then you will know what a moving experience it was to watch the documentary "Hope for Steve" http://www.hopeforstevefilm.com , as well as meet the inspiring couple - Hope and Steve. We encourage you to visit their website https://www.facebook.com/hope4steve and FB page http://www.hopeforsteve.com to learn more about Hope for Steve.

December is now in full swing with traditions and holiday activities.  We were very excited to see so many familiar faces at The Fourth Annual CEU Concepts Holiday Party Extravaganza that we helped sponsor on December 4th .   If we missed you, we wish you a wonderful and safe holiday and look forward to seeing you in 2015.

In this newsletter we are featuring another one of our Eldercare Advisors, Barbara Bonatucci. Barbara has first hand experience caring for her aging parents and she shares this touching journey with us. We hope you get to know Barbara and the type of person she is after you read her story.

Assisted Living Locators will be open during the holiday as always 24/7.  Please do not hesitate to send us families that you think we can help.

Warmest,

Maria and Susan

My Journey-

The Challenges and Joys of taking care of Aging Parents

By Barbara Bonatucci

The challenges that life presents us with can often provide tremendous opportunities for joy.

I had the honor to care for my husband's parents in their final years. Living over 700 miles away, it was hard to see the signs of their decline. We first started noticing changes on our weekly calls. Mom would be on the land line on the yellow wall phone in the kitchen while Dad was in his chair on the portable phone in the living room.
