Summer greetings! We have been busy at the nursery and things are looking good around here. The frog pond is hopping and the birds are singing!
As is usual in the summer, the plants are lush and full and very photogenic. To celebrate, we have a great deal for you! Buy 3 perennials, get one perennial free (equal or lesser value) through Sat 7/19. Use the coupon below as a reminder.
The nursery will be closed July 4, 5, and 6 to give the staff a break from hauling all those plants around. And please note that we are now on our summer hours - Monday through Saturdays 9 AM to 4 PM. We are closed on Sundays and no more Thursday evenings. But you can always order on the website 24/7! Try out our "concierge service" - with at least 48 hours notice, you can order on the website, pay for your order plus $5 for us to pick out your plants and have them ready to load when you arrive, and away you go! Be sure to let us know when you plan to pick them up in the comments section.

Summer is always a difficult time to be planting. The weather is usually hot, people like to go on vacation, but the plants always need attention, especially ones that are in their first season of planting. The first year, when plants are putting out new roots and establishing themselves, is especially critical. If the weather is dry, extra water will be needed, and even if it does rain, it may not be enough. On the other hand, if it's an especially wet season, check to see that your site is not collecting and retaining water. Watering systems with rain sensors are very helpful, but nothing beats checking each new plant personally to see that they are getting the care they deserve. Stick your fingers in the dirt or use a moisture meter (we even sell these at the nursery) to make sure the soil is moist enough. Pay attention to conditions throughout the seasons and protect your investment! Call us or stop by the nursery if you have any questions.
